Tire Protection Chain Installation & Maintenance

Correct positioning, secure closures and machine clearance should be checked before use and during routine operation. Follow the approved instructions for the exact chain and machine.

Installation checks

Check the fit before regular operation

This is a general fitment checklist, not an installation manual. The approved chain and machine instructions control the actual procedure.

01

Before Installation

Identify the chain and machine. Use the approved instructions for that exact chain and equipment.

02

Position & Closures

Lay out the chain, centre the tread mesh and connect the specified closures as instructed.

03

Clearance & Tension

Check the side-chain position, closures, tension and clearance to nearby machine parts.

04

Low-Speed Recheck

Conduct the approved low-speed trial, stop and check seating and side clearance again before regular operation.

Routine maintenance

What to inspect in service

Inspect the chain regularly according to the instructions supplied for the actual assembly and the equipment operator's procedures.

Position and tension

Look for a shifted tread mesh, loose side chains or contact with the machine.

Rings and closures

Check for broken, displaced or loose connecting parts.

Wear face

Look for abnormal wear and exposed tire areas.

Safety note

If damage is found, stop and assess it

Identify the affected part and follow the approved repair guidance for the exact chain. Do not substitute an unconfirmed component or continue operation with a damaged assembly.
